Learn about Homophones with a free printable from Dragon's Eye ViewThis week’s #abcblogging printable is about homophones! The word homophone comes from two Greek words: homo  (ὁμο‑) meaning “same”, and phōnḗ (φωνή) meaning voice or sound.  Homophones have the same sound to the ear, but are spelled differently and mean different things.

For example, WRITE and RIGHT are homophones.  As are SLAY and SLEIGH, and JEANS and GENES.  Knowing which word to use is important and not something spellchecker will always correct!

So stop DRAGGIN’ and give your little DRAGONS some practice with seven pairs of homophones by downloading the free printable.
